i have a 2020 ktm adventure with 6957 miles. service light came on while riding. i change my oil every 5000 miles regardless. tried this sequence mentioned above. didn't work. service light said 7-5-23. just changed the service date back to 2022. hit set, cycled the key.

New Duke 790 Owner - Oil Leak Help. I have been browsing this forum and have learned a lot. I have been riding for 10 years but am mechanically worthless and am hoping to get some help with my bike. I bought a used Duke 790 about a month ago with 700 miles on the clock. It had the common valve cover gasket leak.

Going up 2 on the rear is always a good mod. I'll be doing it when my chain gets near to needing replacing. I would avoid going down on the front on a bike this small. Too small a front sprocket will cause the chain to tighten up and create premature wear. Being there are additives in motorcycle oil, (the oil is being used by both the engine and the transmission), as I feel the additives wear off, and make shifting notch'y or less smooth, that's when I usually change the oil. I'll change the oil tonight. alelo • 4 yr. ago. had this issue on my 2017 390 shortly before my 22.5k km service, mechanic told me normal happens when the oil filter is dirty and the oil sensor cant suck enough oil for a short time (mostly during acceleration or when the engine is really hot [traffic jam in city])
