Both, it depends on your market, time of day, demand, etc. I quit driving Lyft because my base was $2 per ride which was bs and down from $4 when I started then they started carving away the incentives, prime time, etc. I compare prices as a rider and more often than not Uber is $1 or $2 cheaper if I want a ride into town ~ about 4 miles.
